The Business:

onthegrade offers affordable, creative, quality, and every day useful gifts for you and your loved ones. Our hope is you'll treasure your purchases from onthegrade far beyond your Corps days as a lasting reminder of the Corps program that made a significant difference in your life.

Our Giving Back program donates a portion of the sales of selected products to the CCC Foundation in support of the Foundation initiatives to assist Corpsmembers and staff.

We're proud the majority of our products are made in the USA in support of USA families, jobs and healthy communities. Extensive research has gone into product offerings and forming long term relationships with quality USA manufacturers. Whenever possible we choose USA.

We are a registered small (micro) business with the State of California.

The Founder/Owner:

Until my service retirement in December 2013, I served 36 years as a staff member in the California Conservation Corps (CCC). I was honored to serve my last 16 years as the Center Director for of the CCC's residential camp in San Luis Obispo, California.

Soon after retirement I was not willing to sit in a rocking chair and watch the grass grow. Inspired by private sector success by my family members, I rekindled an interest in started a business, something I often considered doing in my life.  In the Spring of 2014 onthegrade was established.
